Adam White and Melissa Quinn

Adam
35 yrs old, born Exeter, NH
Started skating at 12
Was into ice hockey before skating
Parents met through skating, and dad went on to own two rinks
National placements: (before skating together)
1989 Jr. Am. Team Dance 3rd with Candi Powderly
1992 Jr. International Team Dance 1st with Chrissy Demoranville
Best memory: Getting a perfect 10 in Freedance at the PanAm Games in 1999. Insane for a kid who never skated with toestops before World Class!
Worst memory: Tripping over each others' feet in freedance at Worlds in '98 and not being able to pick up the routine immediately. It dropped us from 1st to 2nd at our first worlds. It seemed like that moment took forever.
Melissa
32 yrs old, born Miami, FL
Started skating at 8
Was into ballet before skating
Started skating with two sisters because mom didn't want us watching Saturday morning cartoons
National placements: (before skating together)
1989 JO 1A Team Dance with William Hunt
1993 & 95 Open Freedance 2nd with Rich Buxman
1996 Open Freedance 2nd with Shawn Jellse
1996 Jr. International Team Dance with Shawn Jellse
Best memory: The audiences in Bogota, Columbia and in Florence, Italy. They were so appreciative of all of the skating. I'll never forget how they went crazy for their countries' skaters when they won.
Worst memory: Getting a deduction for Freedance at Worlds in Australia in 1999. It was a final crushing moment for Worlds that year after we felt we had skated so well throughout the championships.
National placements together:
1995 Jr. International Team Dance 2nd
1998 World Class Team Dance 2nd
1999-2003 World Class Team Dance 1st
World placements (together, of course):
1998 Worlds 2nd
1999 Worlds 4th
2000-01 Worlds 1st
2002-03 Worlds 2nd

2001 World Games 1st
